Performing The Dutch Volunteers, we first went to live and work among Jewish settlers in the West Bank to gain an insight into their ethics, behavior and rationalization. Later we continued the same act, living and working in Palestine to gain an insight into life under occupation behind the fence. In order to realize this project and move freely in Palestinian areas that are off limits to Israeli citizens, we obtained the Dutch nationality. However, our Israeli roots play an essential role while interacting in both camps.
